Jim Stroud

Jim is a Social Media Development Manager for EnglishCafe, the premier English learning community for global professionals. Prior to EnglishCafe, Jim Stroud amassed a decade of experience in the Recruiting field. As a self-described “Searchologist,” Jim has consulted for such companies as Microsoft, Google, MCI, Siemens and a host of startup companies.

When not engaged in Recruitment Research, Competitive Intelligence and Training projects for the aforementioned organizations, Jim created and sold two online properties while managing an award-winning blog – The Recruiters Lounge. He is also the producer and co-host of the video series – I Live Online and co-host of the technology podcast – Friday Traffic Report.   Jim also produces The Searchologist, a membership site focused on resume sourcing and lead generation strategies for Recruiters. Katharine Robinson

Katharine is known simply as “The Sourceress” She is passionate about all things web 2.0  and channels this excitement into helping companies identify the people they should be engaging with online.

I can usually be found on the Internet masquerading as TheSourceress.

Why TheSourceress?

Katharine chose the name when she started work for a company of head hunters called EcoSearch (a specialist Executive Search consultancy in the field of Renewable Energy). In this field, those in internet research are often referred to as Talent Sourcers

Katharine is involved in all sorts of things – you might know me through any or all of them, here’s a quick breakdown;

Sourcing and Recruitment:
I am an Internet Talent Sourcer with a passion for the social web. As a part of this I manage the UK Sourcers Network, a Ning network that aims to grow sourcing skills in the UK recruitment community.

I provide Internet sourcing as well as training in these skills to recruitment companies and direct employers.

Katherine has recently become an Associate of Morgan PR, I am looking forward to helping them continue to provide fantastic Social Media support and practical assistance to their clients.

Katharine was recently the U.K.’ first winner of the prestigious Sourcecon Challenge.

Irina Shamaeva

Irina is an Executive Recruiter, an Expert Internet Sourcer, and a Social Media Researcher. For the past five years she has been a Partner with Brain Gain Recruiting, placing senior full-time employees in IT, ERP, strategy consulting, and finances. She has an MS in Mathematics and a strong technical background. Geoff Webb (Radical Recruit.)

Geoff has been a member of the recruitment community for over 20 years. over 20 years.  He has spent 6 years in recruitment management and decided that it wasn’t for him.  For the past 6-7 years he has focused on Sourcing (finding people on the internet and via phone) and Talent Community Management, or the ability to leverage Social Media, Media and Networking to drive talented prospects towards the best candidate experience

Geoff is an avid blogger and promoter of Recruitingblogs.com and has been involved with Recruitfest as well as the creation of many online communities including the Canadian Recruitment Professionals Association.  Geoff is also the founder and chief bandleader for the Toronto Recruiter Meetup, a monthly meeting of some of Toronto’s thought leadership in the Recruitment space.

Marie Journey

With 10+ years recruiting experience, she has worked for Microsoft, as well as one of the largest non-profit organizations in the world, AIESEC.
